snap eight
A topical peptide that reduces expression lines by relaxing the muscle-nerve connection — a 'Botox in a bottle' approach.
Also known as: Acetyl Octapeptide-3
Last reviewed: April 2026
SNAP-8 mimics part of the SNARE complex that controls neurotransmitter release at the neuromuscular junction. By competing with the natural SNAP-25 protein, it reduces the signal that causes muscles to contract, softening expression lines. It's applied topically — no injections needed.

Rare irritation in sensitive skin.
• Neuromuscular disorders
• Allergy to peptide ingredients
• No significant interactions (topical application)
Pregnancy: Topical peptides generally considered low-risk but not specifically studied in pregnancy.
SNAP-8 targets expression lines (muscle relaxation). GHK-Cu targets collagen/elastin (skin structure). Different mechanisms — can be used together.
